Spring Valley has one public library situated in the area from the branch of Clark County District Library’s governed by the State. According to the United States Census Bureau. Census-Designated Place (CDP) of Spring Valley. Predominant boundaries of this Family oriented area include Sahara Avenue, Decatur Boulevard on the east, Warm Springs, and Hualapai West of the Las Vegas Map. The area mostly consists of housing subdivisions, with a series of strip malls lining the Las Vegas Strip Boulevards. The northern part of Spring Valley includes areas of rural-estate zoning, with large parcels of land on block subdivisions. 

Spring Valley’s municipal government is the Clark County Commission, which has seven serious members across Southern Nevada. Town Advisory Board(s) may offer advisory opinions on zoning and business ordinance to the commission, but the commission is not obligated to respond, or be held to those suggestions when made if ever submitted. Most of Spring Valley falls within Nevada’s 1st Congressional District. Portions West of Durango and South of Russell as shown within the 3rd District.
